30 Effective LinkedIn Headline Examples for Meaningful Connections

So, you think you know what a LinkedIn headline is. But, do you really?

Technically, it's the text that lives below your name in the introduction section on your LinkedIn profile, which typically reads something like “Strategist at Company X” or “Analyst at Company Y” maybe you’re even “CEO at Company Z”. You get the gist, right? As part of our essential LinkedIn profile tips, crafting an effective headline is crucial for making a strong first impression.

Whatever your headline contains, it’s displayed each time your LinkedIn profile pops up in someone’s search result. The question we're asking you to consider: How does reading someone’s title assist anyone in making a meaningful connection with them? It makes the task difficult, right?

    no more boring headlines

Newsflash! Times they are a-changin' and gone are the days of boring headlines containing your generic title at so-and-so company. Welcome to the world of creative expression and provoking thought. Ensure you stand out from the crowd with a witty, personalized headline, and learning how to write a LinkedIn summary that complements said headline is key to creating a compelling profile. But back to the headline for now!

To help you out, we’ve put together a short list of a few eye-catching, click-worthy LinkedIn Headlines. These examples can inspire your thought leadership strategy and help you craft a headline that resonates with your audience.

It used to be a tight fit, but now LinkedIn users can use up to 220 characters for their headline. They don't charge you to change it! We say that with irony because people act like it is a ridiculously large decision to try something new out, but honestly - what are you waiting for? It's a good place to include a professional elevator pitch, a personal touch, and mostly something that helps us immediately understand who you are and what you stand for as quickly as possible!

Still not convinced? Say we meet at a work happy hour. You ask what I do. I can say, "I'm the CEO of a digital content marketing firm." OR I can say, "I'm the CEO of a sleep improvement agency."

    Hmmm...

    Are you intrigued?
Do you want to know more?
    Will this introduction be memorable?

Turns out, I improve the sleep of revenue-focused executives because I handle their marketing so they have confidence they are going to meet their short-term and long-term revenue goals.

    Ok, now you try.

"But I don't know what to say..." Ah, we have some inspiration for you.
