Here are a few excerpts from their full conversation:
Q) Who is the target audience for emerging women?
A)
Emerging women targets women leaders and entrepreneurs who share a vision to change the world by living the truth of who they are. We're looking for women who have a burning desire to express their uniqueness in the fullest way possible, while promoting a new paradigm of success that leverages the power of the feminine which include the strengths of connection, authenticity, community, intuition and receptivity.
Q) What do you mean by "manifesta feminista"?
A)
In the recent past decades feminism was definitely more policy driven. I am not saying we don't still have policy work to do, but I don't feel that is where the focus is now. Where I think the focus is now is on getting women to energetically reclaim and allow the feminine energy to fully express itself in the world.
Q) What is "now" in the feminist movement?
A)
Women are stepping up, putting themselves on the edge of where they feel comfortable and taking the lead - the lead in business and across the board in every sector of society. Another piece of what is happening now is that women are working collectively to infiltrate and effect change in positions and places of power from politics and all leading industries.
Q) What is important about thought leadership for women?
A)
Women all over the world are taking courageous steps. The power of sharing our stories transcends all socio-economic barriers, but leadership on this level is about stepping in and really paying attention to how we want to BE in the world, rather than what we want to DO in the world.
Q) So why do things need to change?
A)
Women from executive organizations, entrepreneurs, doctors, nurses, politicians are coming together under a collective view point that the quality of women's lives is not allowing us to thrive as women. We want more meaning and purpose while we answer the cry of the world for help. As women we are feeling the world's pain - even on a cellular level and the current paradigms don't allow us to answer those profoundly.
Q) So just what are you trying to do, Chantal?
A)
Ultimately, the aim of the events is to promote the rise of women across the globe - to create a world where women have a strong voice and can fully participate in the creation of our future in all areas of our lives.
